            Please place the following measure on the agenda for the February 6, 2018 Legislative Meeting:

 

• PR 22-737, the “Historic Preservation Review Board Dr. Sandra Jowers-Barber Confirmation Resolution of 2018”

 

The purpose of PR 22-737 is to confirm the appointment of Dr. Sandra Jowers-Barber as a historian member to the Historic Preservation Review Board (“HPRB”).  PR 22-543, the “Historic Preservation Review Board Dr. Sandra Jowers-Barber Confirmation Resolution of 2017” originally nominated Dr. Jowers-Barber as a historian member to the HPRB.  The Committee was unable to markup PR 22-543 until January 23, 2018 because the Executive was resolving a question whether a historian member could replace a historic architecture member in compliance with federal requirements.  This question was resolved favorably to the applicant.  Because of timing, however, PR 22-543 was withdrawn on January 23, 2018 before it was deemed disapproved on January 24, 2018.  The nomination was reintroduced as PR 22-737.  Accordingly, I request that PR 22-737 be placed on the February 6, 2018 Regular Legislative Meeting agenda, as a vacancy currently exists on the HPRB.
