               This is to withdraw my notice and motion for reconsideration at the June 18, 2019 Legislative Meeting for the following measure:

 

• Bill 23-208, “Fiscal Year 2020 Local Budget Act of 2019”

 

               Last week I filed notice to reconsider both the FY 2019 supplemental (Bill 23-205) and the FY 2020 budget act (Bill 23-208).  I did so as my office was working through the CFO’s certification concerns, and did so to preserve all options to ensure a balanced budget.  I have resolved the certification issues and it is not necessary to reopen the FY 2020 local budget act (LBA).  In fact, the CFO is concerned that, given our resolution, the LBA might be reopened.  Because reconsideration is not necessary, and because I share the CFO’s concern, the notice and motion to reconsider Bill 23-208, the FY 2020 Local Budget Act, is withdrawn.
