On Tuesday November 6th Chairman Phil Mendelson, along with Councilmember Mary Cheh, held a press conference to address the release of the report from law firm O’Melveny & Myers, regarding the conduct of Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans.

The Chairman called the findings in the report “damning” and that there was “no good news” in it for Councilmember Evans. Mr. Mendelson also said that Councilmember Evans has “obliterated the public’s trust and that would speak as well to the trust from his colleagues.” The Chairman also stated that he has spoken with Councilmember Evans about resigning.
