Attached please find the draft witness list and hearing notice for the Committee of the Whole’s upcoming public briefing on:

Public Briefing on the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Budget

The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Noon (or 15 minutes following the preceding Legislative Meeting).

All Councilmembers and witnesses should have already received a unique invitation to be a panelist in the hearing in their email. All staff should have received a registration link in their email to be a participant in the hearing which will allow real-time viewing.

The format for the hearing will be as follows:

The Mayor, City Administrator, and Chief Financial Officer will testify. The Mayor’s Budget Director, Jenny Reed, will also be available.
Testimony from the Executive will be submitted noon Monday and circulated by email to Members and Staff and posted to www.chairmanmendelson.com/FY2021
Statements by the Executive and CFO will be limited to 10 minutes.
The Chairman will give brief opening remarks.
Councilmembers will have 2 rounds of 5 minutes to ask questions of the Mayor, CA, and CFO, followed by 2 rounds of 5 minutes each to ask additional questions of the CA and CFO.
The Committee of the Whole is the host for this Zoom meeting, not the Secretary. If there are issues with Panelists getting into the Zoom, I will send the Chief’s my cell phone number.
