RE:           Congressional Review Emergency Measures for the December 15, 2020 Legislative Meeting

 

Please place the following measures on the agenda for the December 15, 2020 Legislative Meeting:

 

§  Common Interest Community Virtual Meeting Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2020

§  Common Interest Community Virtual Meeting Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2020

 

            D.C. Act 23-453, the Common Interest Community Virtual Meeting Emergency Amendment Act of 2020, will expire January 6, 2021.  Although temporary legislation was approved by Council, its congressional review is pending.  A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
