RE:                       Request to Place Measure on the Agenda for April 19, 2022 Legislative Meeting

 

            Please place the following measures on the agenda for the April 19, 2022 Legislative Meeting:

 

• Medical Marijuana Patient Access Extension Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022
• Medical Marijuana Patient Access Extension Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2022

 

D.C. Act 24-323, the Medical Marijuana Patient Access Extension Emergency Amendment Act of 2022, will expire May 1, 2022. Although identical temporary legislation was approved by the Council in February (D.C. Act 24-364), its congressional review is pending. A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
