RE: Request to Agendize Measures for the May 24, 2022 Additional Legislative Meeting

The following measures are placed the May 24, 2022 additional legislative meeting agenda:

§ PR 24-636, Fiscal Year 2022 Second Revised Local Budget Adjustment Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022

§ Bill 24-719, Fiscal Year 2022 Second Revised Local Budget Adjustment Emergency Act of 2022

§ Bill 24-720, Fiscal Year 2022 Second Revised Local Budget Adjustment Temporary Act of 2022

These measures were introduced at the request of the Mayor on March 17, 2022 and are necessary to support the Fiscal Year 2023 budget package. A primary purpose is to move dollars between Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023 to balance the Fiscal Year 2023 budget and financial plan. Please note that I will move an Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (ANS) for each of these items at next week’s meeting; the ANS versions will circulate on Monday, May 23.

As you know, final reading of Bill 24-716, the Fiscal Year 2023 Local Budget Act of 2022 is also scheduled for Tuesday’s legislative meeting. Also for consideration on Tuesday is the ANC Redistricting legislation which will move first through the Committee of the Whole.
