I have attached an amendment to Bill 24-924, the “Protecting Adjacent and Adjoining Property Owners from Construction Damage Amendment Act of 2022,” that the Chairman will be moving tomorrow. The amendment makes a technical edit to the timing of the insurance requirements for new permits, defines the terms “adjacent property” and “adjoining property,” and adds some language around the rulemaking process to ensure that the insurance rates are consistent with current practice in the industry.
