The following measures are placed on the agenda for the June 20, 2023 Legislative Meeting:

 

▪        Xi Omega Way Designation Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2023

▪        Xi Omega Way Designation Emergency Act of 2023

 

            The purpose of the designation is to symbolically designate 14th Street, N.W., Between Arkansas Avenue, N.W. and Allison Street, N.W., as Xi Omega Way.

 

            Permanent legislation implementing this designation was adopted on final reading on June 6, 2023.  Enacting the legislation on an emergency basis will allow for the dedication in conjunction with the sorority’s 100^th anniversary while the permanent legislation is pending congressional review.
