            The following measure is placed on the agenda for the January 20, 2026 Additional Legislative Meeting.

 

§  Council Period 26 Rules of Organization and Procedure and Appointment of Committee Chairpersons and Membership Amendment Resolution of 2026

 

This resolution will amend the Council Rules to eliminate the Committee on Business and Economic Development and appoint a Chairman Pro Tempore given the resignation of Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie.  The resolution moves the jurisdiction of all agencies and matters under that committee’s purview to the purview of the other committees of the Council.  Similar reorganizations have occurred upon the resignation of other Councilmembers in the past.  I will have a revised resolution by Monday, if not earlier, and will discuss this with members.
