RE:           Congressional Review Emergency Measures for the February 1, 2022 Legislative Meeting

 

This memo is to request that the following measures be placed on the agenda for the February 1, 2022 Legislative Meeting:

 

§  Council Vaccination Policy Enforcement Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022

§  Council Vaccination Policy Enforcement Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2022

 

            D.C. Act 24-204, the Council Vaccination Policy Enforcement Emergency Amendment Act of 2021, will expire January 30, 2022.  Although identical temporary legislation was approved by the Council (D.C. Act 24-243), its congressional review is pending.  A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
