Rules Change Resolution for the July 20, 2021 Legislative Meeting (Reprogrammings)

Please see attached the filed version of the Recess Rules Resolution.  The provision will:

  1. Correct what we did with respect to Contracts being submitted for the next few weeks.  Additionally we expect that the Executive will be sending a list of contracts they anticipate are coming down during the recess that they are asking be in order during the recess (we will circulate an amendment before tomorrow’s meeting with a list of contracts that the Council would be comfortable with).
  2. Allow grant budget modifications to come to the Council throughout the recess with the ability for a disapproval resolution to be introduced.
  3. Allow reprogrammings to come to the Council  beginning on September 7 with the ability for a disapproval resolution to be introduced.
  4. Allow the Committee on Housing and Executive Administration and Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety to hold a hearing(s) or joint hearing(s) on gun violence and public safety.

Emergency Legislation for the July 20, 2021 Legislative Meeting (Revised FY21)

Please see attached the filed versions of the Reprogramming Emergency Act that was noticed last Thursday.  There are two additions to the bill that are pandemic related. 

First, the Committee on Labor and Workforce Development requested a change to the work search requirements of the pandemic Unemployment Insurance provision in the Coronavirus Temporary Act that does not have a cost.  Second, we identified and additional provision of law that was tied Continue Reading
