COW Agency Performance Hearings

FISCAL YEAR 2013/2014 AGENCY PERFORMANCE OVERSIGHT HEARINGS

Council Chairman Phil Mendelson announces the scheduling of a series of public hearings of the Committee of the Whole for Fiscal Year 2013 and 2014 Agency Performance in anticipation of the Fiscal Year 2015 budget submission.  Hearings for individual agencies will be held on the dates and times indicated in the table below in the John A. Wilson Building.

Those who wish to testify should contact the approrpriate staff (indicated in the table) at (202) 724-8196, or via e-mail by clicking on the appropriate staff and provide their name, address, telephone number, organizational affiliation and title (if any) at least two business days before the hearing.  Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony.  Witnesses should limit their testimony to five minutes; less time will be allowed if there are a large number of witnesses.  Materials provided by agencies related to performance hearings can be found at http://dccouncil.us.

If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Committee of the Whole, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 410 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.  The record will close within two weeks of each hearing.

PR 20-502, Compensation Collective Bargaining Agreement between the District of Columbia Department of General Services and Teamster Locals 639 and 730, Affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Emergency Approval Resolution of 2013    

Council Chairman Phil Mendelson announces the scheduling of a public roundtable of the Committee of the Whole on PR 20-502, Compensation Collective Bargaining Agreement between the District of Columbia Department of General Services and Teamster Locals 639 and 730, Affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Emergency Approval Resolution of 2013.  The roundtable will be held at 1:30 p.m., or immediately following (if later than 1:30) the oversight hearing on the “Office of Contracting and Procurement’s Progress on Implementation of the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget and Update on the Contracting Reform Initiative” on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in Hearing Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building.

The stated purpose of PR 20-502 is to approve a compensation agreement between the Department of General Services and Teamster Locals 639 and 730.  The purpose of this roundtable is to receive testimony regarding the suitability of the compensation agreement.

Those who wish to testify should contact Ms. Christina Setlow, Legislative Counsel, at (202) 724-8196, or via e-mail at csetlow@dccouncil.us, and provide their name, address, telephone number, organizational affiliation and title (if any) by close of business Friday, October 18, 2013.  Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony.  If submitted by the close of business on Friday, October 18, 2013 the testimony will be distributed to Councilmembers before the roundtable.  Witnesses should limit their testimony to five minutes; less time will be allowed if there are a large number of witnesses.  A copy of the proposed resolution can be obtained through the Legislative Services Division of the Secretary of the Council’s office or on http://dcclims1.dccouncil.us/lims.

If you are unable to testify at the roundtable, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record.  Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Committee of the Whole, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 410 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.  The record will close at 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2013.
