                The following measures are placed on the agenda for the March 2, 2021 Legislative Meeting:

 

§  Child Enrollment Preference Congressional Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2021

§  Child Enrollment Preference Congressional Emergency Amendment Act of 2021

 

D.C. Act 23-519, the “Child Enrollment Preference Emergency Amendment Act of 2020,” will expire on March 6, 2021. 

Although D.C. Act 23-511, the “Expanding Equitable Access of Great Schools Act of 2020,” which contains language identical to that in D.C. Act 23-159, was approved by the Council on November 10, 2020, its congressional review is pending.  A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
