RE:           Congressional Review Emergency Measures for the March 2, 2021 Legislative Meeting

 

This memo is to request that the following measures be placed on the agenda for the March 2, 2021 Legislative Meeting:

 

§  Public Space Maintenance and Arts Clarification Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2021

§  Public Space Maintenance and Arts Clarification Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2021

 

            D.C. Act 23-250, the Public Space Maintenance and Arts Clarification Emergency Amendment Act of 2020, will expire March 6, 2021.  Although identical temporary legislation was approved by the Council (D.C. Act 23-593), its congressional review is pending.  A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
