RE:                       Request to Place Measure on the Agenda for July 7, 2022 Legislative Meeting

 

               Please place the following measures on the agenda for the June 28, 2022 Legislative Meeting:

 

• Targeted Historic Preservation Assistance Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022
• Targeted Historic Preservation Assistance Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2022

 

D.C. Act 24-420, the Targeted Historic Preservation Assistance Emergency Amendment Act of 2022, will expire August 21, 2022. Although identical temporary legislation was approved by the Council on June 7, 2022 (Bill 24-777), its congressional review is pending. A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in legislative authority.
