RE:                      Request to Place Measure on the Agenda for July 12, 2022 Legislative Meeting

 

               Please place the following measures on the agenda for the July 12, 2022 Legislative Meeting:

 

• Fiscal Year 2022 Revised Local Budget Adjustment Congressional Review Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022
• Fiscal Year 2022 Revised Local Budget Adjustment Congressional Review Emergency Act of 2022

 

D.C. Act 24-388, the Fiscal Year 2022 Revised Local Budget Adjustment Emergency Act of 2022, will expire July 24, 2022. Although corresponding temporary legislation was approved by the Council on May 3, 2022 (D.C. Act 24-434), it will not complete congressional review until August 2, 2022. A congressional review emergency is necessary to prevent a gap in authority.
