RE:         Notice of intent to move emergency legislation at the June 23, 2026 Additional Legislative Meeting

 

The following measures are placed on the June 23, 2026 Additional Legislative Meeting agenda:

 

• PR 26-639, the Fiscal Year 2027 Local Budget Act Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2026
• Bill 26-660, the Fiscal Year 2027 Local Budget Emergency Act of 2026

 

The Mayor transmitted to the Council the Fiscal Year 2027 Local Budget Emergency Act of 2026 to ensure that an approved budget and financial plan will be effective before the start of the fiscal year, should the permanent version of Fiscal Year 2027 Local Budget Act of 2026 not complete its congressional review period prior to October 1, 2026.

 

The attached emergency and emergency declaration resolution are the versions introduced by the Mayor. Please note that I will move an Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (ANS) for each of these items at next week’s meeting. The ANS versions will circulate on June 22, 2026.
